Acts 2: 46-47
46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

The early churches in the New Testament saw God's people gathering in their homes, breaking bread, and sharing life together. We have joined the growing number of ministries that are adopting this approach to church. Every Friday evening, a group of 6-12 people gather together (at church or at the home of one of the members) to worship together and build up the body of Christ.
How often do we call one another brothers and sisters yet struggle to find depth in our interactions - falling apart under pressure? We talk about unconditional love, but we struggle to practice this kind of love; both in the giving and receiving of it. Through house church, our goal is to gather together in faith and obedience to practice and train our spirits to love and be loved with Christ as the foundation.
As we are strengthened through the training and guidance of the holy spirit, we hope to become a ministry that is faithful to God's calling and direction. Although meeting weekly may seem like a big commitment, we would like to remind everyone that our faith is not just a big commitment; it is a life commitment. May we strive to be set apart in our living and not be conformed to this world!

VIP (Very Important Person)
Matthew 28: 18-19
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Another goal of the House Church is to spread the gospel to those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. Sometimes, a church can get carried away with focusing on just the internal works and lose sight of the invaluable work of making connections with our brothers and sisters out in the world. Oftentimes, a Sunday worship service can feel foreign or challenging to someone who does not yet believe. The House Church format seeks to address this concern by providing a more familiar and welcoming space to invite our Very Important People (VIPs), and providing them a place to experience Jesus's love and warmth while sharing life together.
House Church Multiplication
Matthew 28: 18-19
So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied
Once a house church has at least twelve regular attendees, it will go through the process of multiplication. This means that two new leaders are appointed to lead half of the group as a new house church! The hope is that new leaders continue to be raised up while the number of new believers continues to grow.
